statement of intent
Statement of Intent:
For my making of my billboard posters, i will ensure that I follow the rules set out by the ASA. For example, my magazines will not feature any content that could cause physical, mental or social harm to a person under the age of 18 as well as not condoning or encouraging any harmful discriminatory behavior or treatment. However, I want to ensure i can still engage my target audience of 16–25-year-olds with my advertisement without using harmful content due to children potentially seeing my bus stop posters. My product will be broadcasted after 9pm due to being within the thriller genre it will contain graphic images so will be needed to be broadcast later at night so no children will see potentially disturbing images and some of the content wont be appropriate for young children.
My show is intended to appeal towards 16–25-year-olds so my posters will feature people of this age range within my posters so they can feel represented within the TV industry as well as thrillers. By having people of a similar age, it will engage 16–25-year-olds due to it being represented a positive way which should make them interested to try find out the story and the rivalry between the two dances. Younger generations are becoming more engaged with TV thrillers so by featuring people of a similar ages it will interest them especially if they are invested in phycology.
The show is a phycological thriller which focuses on two dancers- one is portrayed as good the other one is portrayed as evil so they will be both represented as opposites. Two of my posters will feature the evil character who will be showcased in dark clothing and dark lighting to contrast the other dancer who is in lighter clothing and natural lighting to highlight her as good. Within my poster i will be using a bold white font with my title ‘Twist and Turn’, the title links to the poster as they feature ballerinas so it all links. I will represent two girls on my posters to oppose stereotypes as there are two female leads within the show and no males.
